Plaster component molds are easy to make and they allow you to quickly make a lot of wax or clay copies of standard components you can use when casting glass sculptures.
In this video, I’ve created a simple pattern (model) from some clay and a leaf. I’ve put the pattern in a plastic deli container, and lightly coated box and pattern with vaseline to make it easier to remove the mold later.
Then I’ve mixed up enough standard plaster of paris to fill the deli container. Now to pour and clean up the mold.
